Magazine reviews

"Flashy visuals, awesome soundboard sonics and an impressive cinematic opening get you slavering from the word go - and your're likely to stay interested as long as the story unfolds. Once that's over with, however, there's little compulsion to continue with the game itself, which, without the plot to back it up, quickly becomes repetitive and, after a while, somewhat tedious." - ACE magazine

Collector's corner:

Expansion packs Special Operations 1 and 2, were released in 1991 and 1992, respectively, and a stand-alone spin-off, Wing Commander Academy, in 1993. Origin also released a Speech Accessory Pack, which upgraded WC2 with pre-recorded voice acting.
