Yacht Racing Simulator proves that even in the '80s, developers were brave enough to turn the thrilling world of rich people boating slowly into a video game. With graphics that could charitably be called “minimalist” and gameplay slower than a tortoise with a hangover, it somehow captures the nail-biting tension of trimming virtual sails. There's no crew, no wind physics to speak of, and no champagne—just you and some oddly aggressive beeps pretending to be water. Still, if you've ever wanted to shout "Starboard!" at your monitor while doing 0.3 knots, this is your moment.
