ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS II Amiga Reference Card Hardware Required Amiga 500, 1000, 2000, 2500 or 3000 1 Meg RAM 1 Disk Drive Monitor or TV (color recommended) Software Required ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS II Disks A and B o Be sure to back up your game disks before playing. For your convenience, the game disks are not copy protected. Loading Instructions Booting from the Game Disks or the Workbench o Boot your Amiga from Game Disk A. o Double click on the "Start" icon. Hard Disk Installation You will need 1.5 megabytes of free space on your hard drive to install ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS II. o Create a drawer on your hard drive and name it "RTKII". o Insert Disk A in a drive. o Drag copy the contents of Disk A into the drawer. o When finished, remove all Romance disks from disk drives. o Start the game from the hard drive by double clicking on the "Start" icon. AMIGA MOUSE OPERATION The AMIGA version of ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS II has been designed with complete mouse support. Except for Hot Keys, there is little occasion to use the keyboard. While almost all of the gadgets used in this version are self-explanatory, the following explanations are included to help you get started. In general, the mouse is used in this way: Left Mouse Button: To select items, commands, generals Right Mouse Button: To display the command menu Selecting Items And Generals When you are prompted to make a selection (a general to train or send to war, goods to buy or sell, etc.), simply move the cursor to the desired item. A highlighted bar will appear where the cursor touches a selection. Press the select button to make the desired selection. Choose "Continue" to end selection. Selecting Commands Commands are selected in the same way as items. With main display commands, you may cancel before executing a selected command by clicking on "Cancel." Combat commands will be executed as they are selected. COMMANDS All commands appear in Command Menus. To execute a command, find the appropriate menu item, and select it with the cursor. Tip: Some commands have Hot Keys for quicker execution. Movement on the Battle Map 1) Select the type of movement from the MOVEMENT menu. 2) Indicate the direction of the move with the cursor. 3) Select with the mouse. 4) Repeat if Mobility points remain. To end your move, move the cursor to the moving unit and press the select button. Attacking Another Unit 1) Select the type of attack from the ATTACK menu. 2) If applicable, indicate the direction of the attack with the cursor. 3) Press the select button. FEATURE Multi-Tasking The AMIGA version of ROMANCE OF THE THREE KINGDOMS II allows you to multi-task with other applications. You can access other programs or the Workbench through the Screen to Back function by selecting it under the OPTIONS menu.
