Few games deserve the title of “classic” more than Day of the Tentacle (1993). It’s Tim Schafer and Dave Grossman at their weirdest, giving us time travel, mutant tentacles bent on world domination, and some of the best comedic writing in adventure game history. The puzzles are clever without being cruel, the art style is cartoon brilliance, and the voice acting still holds up today. Whether you’re flushing items through time-traveling toilets or trying to outwit a purple tentacle with delusions of grandeur, you’ll be grinning the whole way. It’s goofy, brilliant, and downright essential.
