Often regarded as the high point of the series, King's Quest VI: Heir Today, Gone Tomorrow follows Prince Alexander as he searches for Princess Cassima across the mysterious Land of the Green Isles. The beautifully written story offers multiple paths, memorable characters, and puzzles that generally reward observation rather than random experimentation. Gorgeous artwork and an outstanding musical score create an atmosphere that is easy to become immersed in. Of course, adventure games still insist that carrying half the kingdom in your pockets is perfectly reasonable. Rich storytelling and emotional depth make this a timeless classic that remains highly enjoyable today.
