Lure of the Temptress (1992, DOS) is dark fantasy done right — with muddy streets, suspicious peasants, and a villainess who’s equal parts charm and cruelty. As Diermot, a reluctant hero trapped in a rebellion-torn village, you’ll solve puzzles, chat with townsfolk, and admire Revolution Software’s early use of NPC routines (a big deal back then). The dialogue sparkles with dry British wit, and the atmosphere is wonderfully grimy. A gem of storytelling wrapped in pixel art grit.
