Building on its predecessor, Labyrinth of Worlds expands the formula by throwing you across multiple dimensions. Each world has its own flavor—icy wastelands, alien landscapes, and more. It’s ambitious, sometimes to a fault, but also endlessly fascinating. The Guardian looms larger than ever, and the narrative feels more urgent. Admittedly, the interface is still about as friendly as a hungry troll, but if you persevere, there’s a rich experience waiting. Few games of the era offered such freedom of choice, and even fewer dared to experiment this wildly. It may not be perfect, but it’s undeniably bold.
