Who Framed Roger Rabbit brings the manic world of Roger Rabbit to the computer in an adventure built around investigation, exploration, and the search for answers. The story follows the familiar premise of trying to clear Roger's name while uncovering what really happened, with plenty of cartoon characters and locations along the way. The game captures some of the movie's chaotic personality, although the limitations of the hardware mean the experience is much more restrained than the film itself. Progress depends on exploring, talking to characters, collecting useful information, and working out what to do next. It is a product of its time, but there is still something appealing about interacting with this unusual mixture of noir mystery and cartoon comedy. Fans of the movie will get the most from its atmosphere, while adventure players can enjoy the slightly bizarre combination of detective work and animated mayhem.
