Before space marines were gritty and everything exploded in brown and grey, there was The Adventures of Captain Comic. This is early PC platforming in all its clunky, jumpy, 4-color glory. You collect treasures, shoot baddies with your “blaster” (read: bubble gun), and hop through side-scrolling levels with a physics engine that clearly never went to school. It's part Mario, part Metroid, part fever dream. You’ll die a lot, but you’ll smile doing it—mostly because of how ridiculous everything looks.
