Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone (1992) is what happens when a simple beat-’em-up decides to go globetrotting. Instead of just brawling through alleys, Billy and Jimmy travel the world collecting mystical stones. Sounds epic, right? Unfortunately, the execution is more “awkward sequel” than “world tour.” The controls are harsher, the difficulty is brutal, and some design choices feel downright mean. Still, it has a bizarre charm—you’re still punching your way through endless goons, just now in Egypt or Italy. It’s Double Dragon with frequent flyer miles, and that’s either brilliant or ridiculous depending on your patience.
