Strip Poker 2 takes the familiar poker format and adds the particular incentive suggested by its title. Beneath the novelty, however, there is still a straightforward card game based on betting, bluffing and trying to make better decisions than the opponent. The presentation is very much a product of its era, with computer-controlled opponents providing the challenge and a deliberately cheeky atmosphere surrounding the matches. The actual poker mechanics are easy enough to understand, although winning consistently still requires knowing when to bet and when to fold. Strip Poker 2 belongs to the curious history of adult-oriented computer entertainment, a genre that was already experimenting with ways to turn a simple card game into something more provocative. It is hardly a serious poker simulation, but it certainly knows what audience it is trying to entertain.
