Ugh! answers the eternal question: what if a stone-age delivery service were the basis for an entire video game? You play as a caveman whose main skills include grunting, flying a primitive hang glider, and smashing things with enthusiasm. The premise is ridiculous, and the game knows it. Each mission tasks you with transporting goods across hostile prehistoric landscapes filled with dinosaurs, volcanoes, and physics that feel slightly offended by your existence. Controls take some getting used to, but once mastered they offer a surprising amount of depth. The humor is broad and visual, relying on slapstick mishaps rather than witty text. Ugh! stands out because it commits fully to its absurd idea and executes it with confidence. It’s quirky, occasionally frustrating, and undeniably memorable—a reminder that early ’90s PC games weren’t afraid to be weird just for the fun of it.
