Hostage: Rescue Mission puts you in a high-stakes situation where planning and precision matter far more than reflexes. Released in 1989, it blends strategy with action, asking you to coordinate a rescue operation that can go wrong in countless ways. The tension builds as you make decisions, knowing that one mistake could ruin everything. It is not the fastest-paced game, but it is undeniably engaging. There is a certain satisfaction in pulling off a successful mission, even if it takes several attempts. It rewards patience, punishes recklessness, and occasionally makes you feel like a tactical genius.
