Three Sisters' Story is a Japanese adventure game centered on character relationships, dialogue and the unfolding events surrounding its cast. Rather than relying on constant action, it puts the emphasis on narrative, conversations and discovering how different characters connect with one another. The story gradually develops through scenes and choices, giving the player a more passive but intimate role in the proceedings. Its presentation reflects the visual-novel traditions of Japanese computer games from the period, with illustrated characters and text carrying much of the experience. The pace can be leisurely, particularly for players accustomed to action-heavy adventures, but that is part of the point. Three Sisters' Story is best approached as interactive fiction with a strong character focus, where paying attention to dialogue matters far more than mastering complicated controls. It is a distinctly different kind of computer game, and sometimes that difference is exactly what makes it interesting.
