Sid Meier's Colonization is Civilization’s scrappy, historically charged cousin. You start with a tiny ship and a dream: exploit the New World before the other European powers do. Grow crops, trade with natives, rebel against your king—just your average day in the 1600s. It's both a love letter to history and a spreadsheet with cannons. Slightly more complex than Civ, and with a revolutionary war baked in, it’s a colonial sandbox where tobacco and taxes can win you freedom.
