If you’ve ever wanted to feel intellectually inferior to a few hundred lines of 1981 code, Chess is your game. This digital board doesn’t bother with graphics flair or friendly tutorials—it’s just you, the machine, and the crushing inevitability of checkmate. The minimalist interface screams “I was compiled during the Reagan administration,” and the AI is surprisingly snarky for something without a face. Expect zero hand-holding, lots of calculating, and a very real possibility of rage-quitting after your third blunder. Bonus: it runs on toasters. Warning: playing this game may cause you to overestimate your IQ.
