Oubliette is a 1983 role-playing game and an important early example of the dungeon-crawling tradition that would influence generations of computer RPGs. Players create characters, explore dangerous underground environments, fight monsters, collect equipment, and attempt to survive long enough to become powerful enough to face even greater dangers. The game is built around exploration and progression, with the dungeon serving as a place of opportunity, treasure, and extremely poor decisions.
