Game company profile: Hewson Consultants
Hewson Consultants was a British video game development and publishing company active during the 1980s and early 1990s. It was founded by Andrew Hewson and became known for producing high-quality games for 8-bit home computers, such as the ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, and Amstrad CPC. Hewson helped launch the careers of several well-known game developers, including the Oliver Twins and Raffaele Cecco.
In the early 1990s, Andrew and other members of the Hewson management team went on to form 21st Century Entertainment, focusing on publishing pinball games like Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies. However, it struggled to adapt to the changing industry and eventually closed.
