Frédérick Raynal is a French video game designer and developer known for his work in the horror and adventure game genres. He gained significant recognition for creating the iconic survival horror game "Alone in the Dark," which was released in 1992. "Alone in the Dark" is considered one of the pioneering titles in the survival horror genre, featuring 3D polygonal graphics and a haunting atmosphere inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

Following the success of Alone in the Dark, Raynal continued to work on various projects in the gaming industry. He was involved in the development of several other notable games, including "Little Big Adventure" (also known as "Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure"), an action-adventure game released in 1994, and its sequel "Little Big Adventure 2" (also known as "Twinsen's Odyssey").
