SuperKarts is a cheerful little kart racer that takes the basic idea of driving fast and adds enough bumps, jumps, and questionable track design to keep things lively. Released in 1995, it gives you a selection of small, colorful circuits where precision matters almost as much as simply keeping your kart pointed in roughly the right direction. The handling has that wonderfully old-school quality where a corner can suddenly become a personal grudge match. There are several racers to choose from, each with their own characteristics, and the races have a pleasantly competitive arcade feel. It may not have the polish of later karting giants, but SuperKarts has plenty of charm. It is fast, uncomplicated fun, and occasionally an excellent way to discover that walls apparently have a magnetic attraction.
