Supaplex is a deceptively simple puzzle game that takes the basic idea of moving objects around a maze and turns it into a surprisingly demanding exercise in planning. Inspired by classic block-pushing and maze puzzles, it places you in increasingly complicated environments filled with obstacles, explosives, objects that interact with one another, and plenty of opportunities to discover that your brilliant plan was actually terrible. The levels reward careful thinking rather than speed, and later challenges can require you to anticipate several consequences before making a single move. That is where the game becomes addictive: solving a level often feels less like completing a puzzle and more like finally convincing a stubborn machine to cooperate. The colorful presentation gives it a friendly appearance, but underneath lies a serious brain workout. Supaplex is the sort of game that looks harmless when you start playing and then quietly steals an entire evening because you are absolutely certain the next attempt will work.
Gamehippo (1999): "Move around without getting crushed while collecting the required number of "infotrons." Supaplex has lots of great features. In rare instances, you may experience video-problems (relates to Matrox cards)."
