In Breakers, you're a high-tech wrecking crew with a mission: break stuff. Computers, walls, enemy morale—whatever gets in your way. Released in 1986, it feels like a mutant crossbreed of action game and low-budget sci-fi movie. The graphics scream "I tried my best," and the gameplay is chaotic in the most lovable way. Perfect for those days when all you want is to smash things without consequences.
Be warned you need to have access to the original game manual (which features the novella the game is based on) in order to find the password the game asks you to input (a random word each time). The online version of the game I found is bugged and the demanded word is not the actual password (it asked for Line 3 word 2, but word 3 was what worked). Also, the game is very finicky in its parsing if you want to talk to somebody. And if you wait too long to type anything in things can change in the game. The walkthough linked here does not cover the interaction that starts the game. I wasn't able to get past the very first interaction as I couldn't figure out how to respond to the question in a way that worked. So I can't judge the game because I literally couldn't play it.
