Before Remedy Entertainment was known for moody shooters and mind-bending narratives, they gave us Death Rally in 1996—a top-down racer with a mean streak. Imagine Mario Kart, but everyone’s carrying illegal weapons and nobody’s smiling. You’ll upgrade your car, sabotage rivals, and take great satisfaction in watching your opponents eat roadside dust (or bullets). It’s surprisingly fast and polished for a DOS racer, with just enough dark humor to make you feel guilty for enjoying it. Almost. This is vehicular combat at its purest: dirty, loud, and fun.
