Abandonware DOS title

LadyLove

LadyLove (1990) is infamous, misunderstood, and often misremembered. Marketed as erotic, it’s actually a text-heavy life simulation about relationships, choices, and social navigation. You play as a woman balancing romance, work, and personal ambition, guided mostly through menus and dialogue rather than visuals. The presentation is dated and the translation occasionally clumsy, but beneath it lies a surprisingly nuanced attempt at adult storytelling. It’s less scandalous than its reputation suggests and more reflective, sometimes unintentionally so. The humor often comes from how seriously the game takes itself, even when the mechanics feel stiff. LadyLove is a reminder that early games were already experimenting with themes beyond fantasy and violence, even if they didn’t always know how to present them gracefully.
