Myst: Masterpiece Edition was an updated version of the original Myst, released in May 2000. It featured several improvements over the original game, with the images re-rendered in 24-bit truecolor instead of the original Myst's 8-bit color. @John, you're partially right. But you have to keep in mind that the rights for Myst belong to Cyan Worlds which is the company that made the original Myst.

Incorrectly labelled as 'not abandonware'. The original version is NOT available for purchase anywhere, and I'm not sure why you'd want to play a remastered over the superior original.
