NetHack - Falcon's Eye

NetHack: Falcon's Eye is a 2001 graphical adaptation of the legendary roguelike NetHack, giving the famously complex dungeon adventure a more visual presentation while preserving much of its unforgiving spirit. Players explore randomly generated environments, battle monsters, collect equipment, and attempt to survive a journey where almost anything can go wrong. The graphical interface makes the experience more approachable than the traditional character-based presentation, although the underlying game remains every bit as deep and dangerous. A seemingly harmless decision can have unexpected consequences, and the dungeon is always ready to punish overconfidence. Falcon's Eye is an excellent example of how a classic game can receive a visual makeover without losing its personality. It still offers the same combination of discovery, strategy, experimentation, and spectacularly avoidable death, only now the dungeon has considerably more things to look at.
