Before Tetris conquered the world, Nyet gave DOS users their own block-stacking fix. It’s essentially a clone, but with its own quirks and rough edges — the kind of thing you’d find on a floppy disk labeled “totally legal game.” Despite the clunky visuals and minimal sound, it captures the hypnotic rhythm that made Tetris legendary. You’ll start playing for “just one round” and end up losing an afternoon. Nyet may mean “no” in Russian, but here it means “no escape.”
