In Taipan for Windows, you’re not a hero, you’re a 19th-century capitalist trying to get rich trading tea, silk, and the occasional bit of opium in the South China Sea. Think Oregon Trail, but with more pirates and moral ambiguity. Every voyage is a gamble—buy low, sell high, avoid cannonballs, and pray your crew doesn’t mutiny. The Windows version adds a touch of polish but keeps the same “get rich or get sunk” energy of the classic. It’s educational, if your school curriculum includes smuggling and questionable trade ethics.
