Part strategy, part slapstick cartoon, North and South makes the American Civil War look like a Saturday morning show. You juggle troop movements, train robberies, and spontaneous lightning strikes — because history apparently needed weather hazards. It’s fast, funny, and surprisingly addictive, with a multiplayer mode that ruins friendships faster than Monopoly. The comic-book art style and goofy animations make it impossible to take seriously — and that’s exactly the point.
