Scorched Earth (1991) was the “mother of all games” long before Doom took the title. Two or more tanks face off on a randomly generated terrain, and your only mission is to blow everyone else sky-high. Simple? Yes. Addictive? Absolutely. The game’s massive arsenal—nukes, napalm, MIRVs—made every round a mix of geometry and pyromania. And the trash talk before each turn? Legendary. It’s the digital equivalent of a snowball fight where everyone’s throwing grenades.
