I purchased Paradox for Dos with at a computer store called "The Future Shop". The salesman boasted it to be a very affordable alternative to dbase, which was true - it only cost 75 at the time and came with extensive documentation. I used it to manage my inventory as a repair outlet for Toshiba copiers. When Windows 3.1 became popular I purchased the Windows version, which allowed me to use the same data - but it was not as friendly or fast as the original. I still consider it one of the best database tools ever written..
