Railroad Tycoon 2

Railroad Tycoon 2 is what happens when a beloved strategy game puts on a suit, hires a consultant, and decides to “scale operations.” Slicker graphics, deeper economic modeling, and scenarios that sometimes feel like a business school exam make this sequel both impressive and occasionally ego-crushing. You’ll juggle stock prices, upgrade locomotives, and pretend you understand macroeconomics while building the prettiest train network the 1990s could render. Despite the added complexity, there’s a playful tone to it all; even when the AI trounces you, it does so with a polite smile, as if advising you to stay out of railroad management for your own good.

For anyone wondering how to play older games on the newer Apple Mac products (M1, M2, etc), lookup DOSBox-x and how to install Win98SE... not only can you run older windows but then it allows you to install/play these older games like this one, SimCity, Etc.

Loved this game 20 years ago. I lost my CD a long time ago, I'll be sure to try this!
Worked right away without a VM on my WIndows 10 system.

I had owned the game, but some1 stole it. I did order it through XPLOSIVE, however I Paid 10 dollars for it, and damn there was a authorization code to it, and there wasn't, on the pack or disk. So I spent 5 bucks on it through Steam.com, hell there was no way to set up water towers or repair. If U know about train, U need them, so I erased the account of theirs
