Risk: The World Conquest Game is a 1989 DOS version of the famous strategy board game, offering players the familiar objective of controlling territories and eventually conquering the world. Armies are deployed across a global map, battles are resolved through combat rolls, and players must balance expansion with defense. The rules are easy enough to understand, but successful play requires considerably more thought. Expanding too quickly can leave borders vulnerable, while playing too cautiously gives opponents time to grow stronger. The computer provides a convenient way to enjoy the classic experience without needing a large table covered in pieces. Risk remains timeless because its central idea is wonderfully simple: start with a few territories, make some strategic decisions, and eventually discover that your friends have become surprisingly hostile.
